I no longer use DeviantArt and I don't know if I'm thinking about deleting my account. As I see on this site, it doesn't seem worth it for me to publish new art there!

I can tell you, the moderation was lackluster for a long time and I highly doubt that gonna change anytime soon. I know for a fact that I have seen too much fetish artwork on the front pages (I've been around since 2016, yeah the quality control was shit back then).

But honestly, consider how horrific the business model that Deviantart has been over the years (jark fired back in 2004, rejected a good offer; around 9-digits offer, raised core membership price without good reason, 50% layoff staff, horrible management, Shit Logo changes, etc etc), I am shocked of how DA managed to last 23 years.

Look at all the comment sections of Spyed last post before his retirement: https://www.deviantart.com/spyed/journal/A-New-Chapter-Begins-918633422 ; a whole lot of former staff shit talk about Spyed management.

Oh yeah, I should mention that since pretty much all the OG founders are now gone and the parent company, Wix, has taken over (also a shit company), I don't think DA will come back from this anytime soon. Even Spyed hated what direction DA has taken with AI-generated slop from what I look at.

I agree, AI is terrible. One more reason to leave dA
